Lindsey
is another of the White River cemeteries in Stone County. It is a small
cemetery, with perhaps 15 marked and 30 unmarked graves. It is well
off the hiway, and back in the hills almost to the river. As one might
guess, the Lindseys are the prime family, with a smattering of Richardsons,
Bostons, and Kings.
I am including two maps to show it's position. Map One is the St James area, showing the turnoff toward the east. At the Kelley Cemetery, bear right at the fork, and you will progress onto Map Two . I have not been to this cemetery personally, so I cannot vouch for the condition of the particular roads personally, BUT, remember that MANY of the county roads in this area are red dirt once you get more than a mile or two off the main road, and are prone to ruts and washouts between grading. Be ready for rough surfaces. |
